President Ghani has expressed that the main objective of holding Loya Jirga is to give direction to peace process with ownership of the Afghans, and without consultation and spirit of nation, peace will not come to fruition.
In a meeting with governors of 34 provinces on Tuesday evening, president Ghani praised the governors on providing an appropriate national environment for selection of people’s representatives for Peace Consultative Jirga.
He said that separate meetings of governors should be held with the judicial institutions and development ministries so that the governors share their analysis and suggestions with the ministries and judiciary institutions.
“The governors should focus on principles rather than individuals, and cooperate with the public in order to maintain public order so that people benefit more services and facilities,” president Ghani stressed.
