The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) says 259 new cases of the coronavirus were registered in the country during the past 24 hours.

Wahid Majroh, the deputy of MoPH in a press conference on Wednesday said that with the registration of the new cases, the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country reaches 5,226.
According to MoPH, at least 5 patients infected with the coronavirus have recovered and 42 others have recovered.
Majroh cited that 402 health workers have been infected with the coronavirus in the country so far.
He added that at least eight health workers have died of the coronavirus.
