‘Champions of Equality’ Selected by WHO to Fight Gender-Based Violence

World Health Organisation on Wednesday announced that 16 ‘champions of equality’ to progress the cause of ending gender based violence, have been selected by the UN Afghanistan.

The campaigns by the same will begin in what will be known as “16 Days of Activism”.

At the event which took place, Dr Rik Peeperkorn from WHO spoke on behalf of the UN in Afghanistan and emphasised on everyone’s contribution towards the fight against gender-based violence.
