COVID-19: 62 New Cases Reported From 370 Samples

From the 370 samples tested for Coronavirus in the past day, 62 were found to be positive, pushing the Afghan tally of confirmed cases to 39,548, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said.

The new cases were reported in the provinces of Herat (42), Daykundi (5), Nimruz (4), Kabul (4), Badakhshan (3), Bamiyan (2), Baghlan (1) and Zabul (1).

The MoPH said 68 people had recovered while two had succumbed to the virus in the past day.

Afghanistan has 5,034 active COVID-19 cases with 33,045 recoveries and 1,469 deaths.
